Hello entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs!
SOKONI which means “Marketplace” in Swahili was established in 2017 by NCCEEP to help promote and sell African products and address systemic gaps for struggling business owners.
Sokoni BEP shines a light on local Black entrepreneurs and Black-owned businesses in Ontario. We support Black entrepreneurs to launch and grow their businesses, explore their passions, and connect with other business owners. In addition to Windsor, Ontario, NCCEEP also delivers Sokoni in London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton, and Toronto.
This program is funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
